Former Dundalk FC manager Sean Connor is loving life as a Gaelic football coach.
Connor has helped guide Killybegs to the Donegal county senior football final this year where they will take on Donegal and Ireland captain Michael Murphy's Glenswilly in the final on Sunday.
The Antrim native is well known in League of Ireland circles having managed Sligo Rovers, Bohemians, Dundalk and Galway United, while he also had a stint in Zimbabwe coaching CAPS United.
However, Connor revealed to the Donegal Democrat that he initially had a background in the GAA winning a MacRory Cup medal in 1986 and an Antrim SFC medal with St John's in the same year.
Over the past few years, he has been involved on and off with Killybegs and this year has been working with them throughout the year as coach for manager Martin Boyle.
"It has been enjoyable. I love working with players and when you're getting ready for a big day that makes it better," said Connor.
"I played Gaelic myself and I won a MacRory Cup medal in 1986 with St Mary's CBS and an Antrim senior championship medal the same year with St John's.
He added: "I've been living in the area for around five years. I first got involved around 2007 with them when Peter McGinley and Manus Boyle came in and asked me to do some training with them. I've worked with them on and off since, but I've been with them since March this year."
