Video: The cruciate curse… five in six weeks

August 13, 2013

Clare were up for the challenge
The dreaded cruciate injury has struck Tyrone Ladies in cruel fashion with no fewer than five players falling victim to the long-term injury curse in just six weeks.

Star player Shannon Quinn was the latest to suffer in a club game last week, yet the county team still managed to defeat Clare in the TG4 All Ireland SFC in Longford on Saturday to qualify for a Quarter-final against Connacht champions Galway.

On this video, goalscorer Cathy Donnelly and defender Tori McLaughlin talk about the victory over Clare, the cruciate blows and the resilience within the squad to overcome the setbacks.
