The hoganstand.com football team of the week
Leinster champions Dublin have four players selected on the hoganstand.com football team of the week while Meath, Kildare, Armagh, Wexford, Louth and Cavan are also represented.

1. Paddy O'Rourke (Meath)

Couldn't be blamed for either of Dublin's two goals, pulled off some five saves and his booming kick-outs helped relieve the pressure on the Royal defence.

2. Donal Keogan (Meath)

Held Bernard Brogan scoreless from open play and can be happy with his afternoon's work, if not the final result.

3. Peter Kelly (Kildare)

Kelly kept in-form Louth forward Shane Lennon relatively quiet in Newbridge.

4. Brendan Donaghy (Armagh)

Armagh dominated Leitrim in the qualifier in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday evening and Donaghy and his defensive colleagues restricted the hosts to just two points from play.

5. James McCarthy (Dublin)

Came out on top in his personal duel with Meath ace Graham Reilly.

6. Morgan O'Flaherty (Kildare)

Marked his return to the Kildare starting line-up with a commanding display against Louth.

7. Emmet Bolton (Kildare)

Bolton put in another enterprising shift for Kieran McGeeney's charges against the Wee County.

8. Daithi Waters (Wexford)

The talented midfielder put his name to 1-1 as Wexford edged out Longford after extra-time.

9. Paddy Keenan (Louth)

Louth's talismanic midfielder gave his all against Kildare before running out of steam towards the end.

10. Paul Flynn (Dublin)

Netted a 5th minute goal and was full of industry throughout the 70 minutes against the Royal County.

11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)

His fingerprints were all over Dublin's best moments and he punished the Meath defence with his creativity.

12. Cian Mackey (Cavan)

Mackey was the Breffni County's stand-out performer in their seven-point qualifier win over Ulster neighbours Fermanagh.

13. Paul Mannion (Dublin)

Mannion enhanced his growing reputation as one of the best finishers in gaelic football with 1-4, 1-2 from play, in the Leinster decider.

14. Eugene McVerry (Armagh)

McVerry finished with a hat-trick of goals in the Orchard County's facile 8-13 to 0-10 qualifier success over Leitrim.

15. Michael Newman (Meath)

Along with his full-forward line colleague Stephen Bray, Newman exposed frailties in the Dublin full-back line which Jim Gavin will have to address moving forward.
