GAA to get World Cup airing
01 March 2013
Soccer fans around the world will see Gaelic Games highlighted at next years World Cup in Brazil.
Gaelic games will be highlighted during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Pindorama Filmes plans to broadcast a 25-minute documentary on the Irish national code and will come to Ireland in September to record the programme, including taking in the All-Ireland SFC final.
The production company is making five programmes as part of a special series, each one focusing on a different ball game from around the world.
The programme-makers intend to interview some of the biggest names in the GAA and will also visit a factory to see how a gaelic football is made.
The show will be broadcast at prime time during next year's World Cup and represents another massive promotional boost for the GAA on the global stage.
