Ross Munnelly could feel a little hard done by on Sunday as one of his points against Derry was not given.

Laois fell to a 2-11 to 1-17 defeat at Celtic Park in Sunday's Division 2 FL encounter, after leading by four points at the break.

The O'Moore County were two points to the good when Munnelly kicked over this effort from distance, which bounced off the back support stanchion of the goalpost.

One of the umpires was ready to raise the white flag but confusion reigned as the officials mistakenly thought that the ball had bounced off the crossbar, and waved it wide when play concluded. Tweet
