Pairc Ui Chaoimh will stage next Sunday week's Munster club senior hurling championship final after the Munster Council's decision to opt for a neutral venue for the decider.

The game will see a repeat of the 2010 final with Waterford champions De La Salle taking on Tipperary winners Thurles Sarsfields and the Cork venue has been chosen instead of Semple Stadium, which would have afforded Sarsfields home advantage.

Both teams came through tough semi-finals over the weekend and will be keen to go one better in 12 days' time when a coveted provincial title, along with an All-Ireland semi-final place, will be on the line.

Meanwhile, this Sunday's Munster club SFC semi-final venues have also been confirmed, with champions Dr Crokes back on home turf in Killarney against Tipperary's representatives Clonmel Commercials and Clonakitty playing host to the clash of Cork winners Castlehaven and Stradbally of Waterford.
