Pearse Og celebrate a great victory
PEARSE OG 2-14
KNOCKBRIDGE 2-7

Inspired by Gerard Smyth, Pearse Og pulled off a shock when relieving Knockbridge of their Louth SHC title at The Grove on Sunday.

Pearse Og's Gary O'Brien traded goals with Knockbridge's Gerard McKeown in the first half but Smyth's accuracy - the midfielder finished with ten points to his credit - ensured the underdogs went in at half-time leading by 1-8 to 1-2.

Gavin Kerrigan closed the gap with Knockbridge's second goal midway through the second half but David Mahony replied for Pearse Og to send them on their way to a first county title success in eight years.
