Ryan to be ratified in Antrim

September 14, 2012

Former Carlow hurling manager Kevin Ryan
Kevin Ryan will be named as the new Antrim senior hurling manager.

According to a report in today's Irish News, the Antrim County Board will be asked to ratify Ryan as Saffrons manager for 2013 at this Monday's executive meeting.

The former Carlow boss was one of four men nominated for the post vacated by Jerry Wallace in June, the others being Gregory O'Kane, Michael Johnston and PJ O'Mullan.

The latter was widely expected to be chosen but the All-Ireland winning Loughgiel Shamrocks coach reluctantly pulled out of the race at the eleventh hour and emailed the Board saying he would not be attending an interview.
