Jim McGuinness wants to give Donegal supporters something to shout out tomorrow evening.

Speaking to the Donegal Democrat ahead of his side's Ulster SFC quarter-final against Derry in Ballybofey, the Tir Chonaill boss said: "It is a huge game for both counties and the fact that we are at home, we want to put in a big performance and that is where our total focus lies. It is championship football and is all about performance and getting it right on the day.

"It is about pride, passion and determination and we know that Derry are going to bring that to Ballybofey with them. We want to go into Ballybofey and put in a performance worthy of a championship match at home and the boys have worked hard with that in mind at the training camp (in Co. Kildare).

"We have goals laid out to achieve within the game and I suppose if there is any pressure it is to achieve those goals. It has nothing to do with being Ulster champions.

"We have a game plan and we want to execute that plan to the best of our ability and if we do that we will put ourselves in a position where we are going to be competitive and if we put ourselves in that position we are in with a chance of winning the game.

"That is where our focus lies and winning the Ulster championship is irrelevant. Really it is all about nailing down the key areas in relation to our own game plan. The plan is number one."
