Justin McNulty says Laois have prepared well for Sunday's championship opener.

The O'Moore County face a tricky trip to Pearse Park to take on high-flying Longford in the first round of the 2012 Leinster SFC and manager McNulty comments in The Leinster Express:

"I would say the preparations have been very positive. The players have been resilient coming back from a disappointing league campaign, where confidence was possibly at a low ebb. To bounce back from that is promising.

"We're focusing very much on the big challenge ahead, which is Longford on the 20th of May.

"We've had a few tough challenge games along the way. Results haven't necessarily been good but the performances in elements of those games have been very encouraging.

"Hopefully it puts us in good stead for the championship." Tweet
