Dublin SFC: Jayo on fire for Plunkett's

May 17, 2012

Former Dublin star Jason Sherlock
Jason Sherlock rolled back the years when he bagged 2-3 for St. Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh in their 4-15 to 0-13 victory over Round Tower, Clondalkin in the opening round of the Dublin SFC at Russell Park last night.

The former darling of the Hill scored his first goal after just three minutes, and with Alan Brogan kicking some fine points and Paddy McNulty also finding the net, last year's beaten finalists went on to lead by 2-6 to 0-6 at the break.

Chris Carty and Conor Le Strange did their best to keep the Clondalkin men in touch, but Plunkett's had too much class and ran out easy winners thanks to further goals from Sherlock and Bernard Brogan, who was introduced as a substitute.
