February 29, 2012A goal from substitute Mark Young ten minutes into the second half was the key score as 14 man Offaly defeated Meath by 1-9 to 0-9 in Gracefield.
The sides had been level at 0-5 each at the break.
Louth had a record breaking 6-35 to 0-2 win over Kilkenny in Ballyragget. The Cats had no substitutes as 11 of their players didn't turn up on the night.
Dublin advanced by 1-12 to 1-9 against Wexford in Enniscorthy. The Dubs led by 1-7 to 1-2 at the break but Wexford rallied and tied the game at 1-8 each with five minutes remaining before Dublin hit three late points.
Carlow defeated Wicklow by 0-13 to 1-6 despite missing a second half penalty.
