Limerick look set to be without defender Seamus Hickey for the NHL campaign.

The Murroe-Boher clubman, who was named on the Fitzgibbon Cup Team of the Century earlier in the week, has departed to the U.S for three months.

Hickey will be studying in the U.S and will miss the majority of the league campaign and will only be available for the latter stages, if Limerick progress that far. Tweet
