Tadhg Kennelly remains on course to end his Aussie Rules career with a second Premiership medal.

The Listowel native, who will retire from the AFL at the end of the current season, is looking forward to an elimination final against Tommy Walsh's St. Kilda next weekend after helping the Sydney Swans to a 119-67 victory over the Brisbane Lions in what was his final home game for the club.

"It was a bit emotional alright," he admitted.

"I have been a long time playing here and it was great to say thanks to all the fans."

Kennelly won an AFL Premiership medal with the Swans in 2005, and is the only Irishman to achieved such a feat.
