McMenamin anger at clash claim

Tyrone's Ryan McMenamin
Tyrone's Ryan McMenamin has expressed his anger at claims that he may have been involved in an incident involving Armagh's Steven McDonnell.

There was speculation in today's papers that he could face suspension following an altercation with Armagh's Steven McDonnell during last Saturday's delayed All-Ireland SFC third round qualifier at Healy Park.

It was alleged that there may have been a possible "fish hook" during the game but McMenamin angrily hit out at that claim this morning.

"There was simply no such incident in the game," McMenamin told www.hoganstand.com.

"There was some pushing and shoving with Steven McDonnell, between each other, but nothing more. I am not going to accept people just saying things like this."

Tyrone are due to face Roscommon in round four of the All-Ireland qualifiers this weekend.
