Boyne in for Dublin minors
May 13, 2011
The Dublin team to face holders Longford in tomorrow's ESB Leinster MFC quarter-final at Pearse Park shows one change from that which hammered Westmeath in the opening round.
Eoin Boyne's inclusion at left corner back sees Rutherson Real switch to the half back line to the exclusion of Conor Pike. The towering Paddy O'Higgins, who started at centre forward against Westmeath, switches to midfield where he will partner Emmet O Conghaile with Gavin Ivory moving to full forward.
Ciaran Kilkenny, who wore the number 14 jersey against Westmeath, is now positioned at centre forward.
Dublin and Longford have both beaten Westmeath in this year's Leinster MFC, though the Metropolitans' victory was much more convincing (4-15 to 0-8). Longford, who were well beaten by Kildare in the first round, defeated the Lake County by 1-10 to 0-7 before easing to a 4-14 to 0-4 victory over Wicklow in their last backdoor outing.
