U21FC: Kingdom put Treaty to the sword

March 24, 2011
Kerry 3-15
Limerick 2-6

Paul Geaney bagged two goals as Kerry eased into the Cadbury Munster U21FC final at the expense of Limerick on Wednesday night.

Geaney, who has tasted senior action for the Kingdom during the current Allianz National League campaign, helped himself to 2-3 in a fine individual performance.

He was not alone in impressing, however, with fellow senior panellist Barry John Walsh - who missed a first half penalty - hitting five points from play and James O'Donoughue contributing 1-4 on the night.

Eoghan O'Connor's goal just before the break, from the second penalty of the first half, helped Limerick to claw back the deficit to just two points (1-6 to 1-4) at the change of ends.

But there was no living with Kerry after the break as they outscored the home side by 2-9 to 1-2.
