U21FC: All too easy for Carlow
March 10, 2011
Carlow 8-19
Kilkenny 1-1
Carlow enjoyed the anticipated landslide victory over neighbours Kilkenny in the Cadbury Leinster U21FC at the Carlow IT grounds on Wednesday night.
The home side had been impressive in knocking Wicklow out in the first round but they were never challenged by the clawless Cats in this most one-sided quarter-final.
Robbie Power and Eddie Byrne helped themselves to two goals apiece on the night while Killian McCabe, David Keogh, Daryl Roberts and Jamie Byrne also found the net.
Kilkenny's meagre reply included a second half penalty from Andy Kavanagh.
