Paul Galvin is set to escape any censure after TG4's cameras caught him reaching out towards referee Rory Hickey.

The Footballer of the Year can breathe a sigh of relief today as it appears there will be no disciplinary action regarding the alleged incident in the clash with Dublin in Killarney on Sunday.

A frustrated Galvin seemed to reach out towards the Clare official in a remonstrating manner after a free awarded to him had been harshly overturned, but it seems that common sense will prevail and the nothing incident can now be forgotten and consigned to dust.

News that Hickey won't be mentioning the incident in his match report mean scribes will have to dig elsewhere for their next slice of scandal. Tweet
