Time-out for Dan
February 09, 2010

Down's Dan Gordon
Down's Dan Gordon is taking an indefinite break from intercounty football.
The Mourne County midfielder has cited a lack of hunger and loss of form as the reasons for his decision, and feels he needs some time out to recharge his batteries.
The 26-year-old was absent for the northerners' stunning victory in Newbridge on Sunday and manager James McCartan - who was informed of the decision last week - hopes to have him back "sooner rather than later".
Down will also be without Aidan Carr for this weekend's clash with Meath. Carr missed the Kildare match with a hamstring problem.
