Ross O'Carroll has been ruled out of Dublin's next league match - against Derry on Saturday.

The Kilmacud defender was due to make his competition debut in Killarney on Sunday but the withdrew from the squad after picking up a thigh injury on Sigerson Cup duty with UCD midweek.

Instead, his brother Rory filled in at full back with Paul Conlon drafted into the team at corner back.

Dual star Ross has now been ruled out of Saturday night's Parnell Park clash with the Oak Leaf men and is in a race against time to be ready for the March 7 date with Mayo.

In other Dublin team news, Ger Brennan and Conal Keaney are both expected back in training this week after recovering from minor hamstring strains. Pat Burke and Darren Magee are also back in contention after missing the early part of the year through injury.
