Monaghan dubious over fist pass

Donegal's Barry Monaghan
Donegal defender Barry Monaghan isn't optimistic about the long-term prospects of the recently-introduced fist pass. The fist pass is part of the latest wave of experimental rules to sweep through the pre-championship competitions and Monaghan isn't convinced by its merits... "The fist pass is the one the players are going to find most difficult to adapt to. I think even more so for us in Donegal. "The hand pass is very much part of our game, and has been for years, and I know what they are trying to do and bring back more kicking into the game. "But purely from a selfish point of view, it will not suit our game. I also feel it will slow up the game and overall that is not good."
