Ryan facing Horgan challenge in Cork
30 November 2009Cork vice-chairman Bob Ryan will face a challenge from Midleton's Pat Horgan at next month's county convention.
Horgan served for over 20 years as Midleton chairman when the club enjoyed its most glorious spell in senior ranks. And like Inniscarra clubman Ryan, he is a former PRO of the county board.
The results of the election will be known on Friday, December 11, the eve of the Annual Convention at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
There are also elections for the position of Irish Cultural Officer, Munster Council delegate and Central Council delegate, but most interest will centre on the high-profile battle for the vice-chair, a position filled in most recent years without a contest.
