Bloody Sunday commemorative museum tour
09 November 2009Sunday 22nd November 2009 will mark approximately 89 years since the events of Bloody Sunday, a day when events outside of the GAA brought politics into the heart of the Association.
In remembrance of that an unforgettable date in Irish history the GAA Museum will host special Commemorative Guided Tours.
Museum visitors will take in a tour of Croke Park stadium as well as the museum which features items such as an original match ticket and the whistle used by referee Mick Sammon.
Tour guides will recall the history surrounding the lead up to the events which resulted in the death of Tipperary footballer Michael Hogan, after whom the Hogan Stand is named.
There are two tours to choose from - 11.30am, 13.30pm and 15.30pm.
