All-Ireland MHC: Galway trounce Saffrons

July 26, 2009
Galway 4-23 Antrim 0-10 Galway are through to another ESB All-Ireland MHC semi-final after they demolished Antrim at Parnell Park yesterday. Making their debut in this year's championship, the Tribesmen showed no signs of ring rustiness as they cruised past the Ulster champions' feeble challenge. The winners were slow to settle, but they never looked back after Ronan Badger's goal in the 20th minute helped them to a 1-13 to 0-6 interval lead. Richie Cummins, who set up the opening goal for Badger, netted twice within four minutes of the restart to end the game as a contest. And Cummins was once again involved as Michael Delvin hammered home goal number four to give Galway the easiest of wins.
