Waterford pair injured

Waterford's Stephen Molumphy
The chances of Stephen Molumphy and Tony Browne lining out for Waterford in Sunday week's Munster SHC final against Tipperary appear slim after they suffered injury setbacks. Joint-captain Molumphy, who injured his knee in the semi-final replay win over Limerick, broke down as he attempted to take a light part in training prior to a challenge match against Clare on Tuesday night. Former Hurler of the Year Browne, meanwhile, was carried off with a leg injury during the match itself and will have the injury assessed today. To compound matters for Waterford manager Davy Fitzgerald, they lost the challenge game by 0-22 to 2-15, but the Deise line-up was highly experimental with Browne, Declan Prendergast, Eoin Murphy, Eoin McGrath and Jamie Nagle the only regulars to feature.
