Stradbally committee organises Andrew Barrett fundraiser

A fund-raising event for former Waterford club hurler Andrew Barrett has been organised in order to aid the Stradbally native's spiralling medical expenses.
Barrett, 32, emigrated to the United States seven years ago having represented Stradbally at all levels.
He has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, and a fund-raising event has been organised by a Stradbally task-force.
The group has acquired several items for auction, including an Ireland rugby shirt signed by the 2009 Grand Slam-winning side and a Republic of Ireland soccer shirt signed by national team manager Giovanni Trapattoni.
