Trial for Aisake as Murphy retires

Cork's Aisake O'hAilpin
Aisake O hAilpin has been given a trial with the Cork senior hurlers.
The former Australian Rules player has already played with the Cork senior footballers since his return to Ireland, but he has now been handed the chance to stake a claim for a place on the hurling squad alongside his brother Sean Og.
New Cork hurling manager Denis Walsh called up Aisake for a challenge match against the county under 21s at Pairc Ui Chaoimh last weekend and he lined out at full forward.
Meanwhile, defender Brian Murphy has ended weeks of speculation by announcing his retirement from inter-county hurling. The former All-Star hadn't returned to the panel following the recent strike and told Walsh last week that he wouldn't be back this year.
Cian O'Connor has also said he is taking the year out to concentrate of club hurling, while it's unlikely that Joe Deane will be seen again in the famous red jersey.
