Tinryland to host All Ireland inter firms football semi final

Tinryland Co. Carlow will be the venue for the All Ireland inter firms junior football semi final on Sunday next at 2 p.m. when local Co. Seamus Byrne Electrical who recently captured the Leinster title take on Munster champions Limerick Garda.
Next Sundays game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and extra time will be played in the event of a draw. Seamus Byrne Electrical won the Carlow inter firms championship for the first time in 2008 defeating holders Burnside Engineering and won the Leinster final defeating Dublin firm Wyeth B T in Portarlington having accounted for Tegral of Athy in the semi final . The Limerick Garda defeated Citco from Cork to win the Munster title on Wednesday last having previously accounted for Clare Garda and Boston Scientific from Tipperary.
The Carlow firm can call on a number of well known players from Carlow and surrounding counties including Vinny Kavanagh (Eire Og), Brian Quigley, (O'Hanrahans), Seamus Gray (Kilbride), Paul Doyle (Tinryland), Billy McDonald (Palatine), Brian Maguire (Graiguecullen) and Larry Lyng (Railyard).
