O'Mahony's boss backs Crokes
November 26, 2008
Navan O'Mahony's joint manager Sean Barry believes Kilmacud Crokes are capable of repeating their 1995 All-Ireland club football success.
The Dublin champions overwhelmed O'Mahony's in last Sunday's Leinster semi-final to set up a provincial final showdown with Rhode on Sunday week, and Barry feels they will take some stopping.
"Rhode and Kilmacud have history, they played against each other two years ago," he said.
"But I have yet to see a bookie driving a banger and they are among the favourites to win the All-Ireland, so they are not there for any reason."
The two-week break to the Leinster final means Crokes manager Paddy Carr finally has some time to work with his players after their hectic schedule in recent weeks.
"For the very first time since August, we have had a little bit of time to work with the team, up to now it has just been go, go, go," he said.
