The Club has now launched their Annual Race Night. This year it will take place in Cooney,Äôs Hotel on Friday 5th December next. Horses can be bought at a price of ,Ǩ60 ,Äì individual Owners, Trainers and Jockeys can be purchased at a cost of ,Ǩ20 each. Additionally, Races may be sponsored for ,Ǩ200 and full and half-price advertisements cost ,Ǩ100 and ,Ǩ50 respectively. Race cards are available from any member of the executive and your support would be appreciated for this popular annual fundraiser. Hard luck to the u-21s, who lost out narrowly to Colmcille/St. Columbas/Clonbroney last Sunday. Thanks to all the players and mentors for their commitment over the last few weeks. Our AGM will now be held early in the New Year. Hopefully it will be well attended by all members and people are reminded that there is the place to voice your opinions, and perhaps may consider taking a more active role in the running of the club, as new faces are always welcome. There was no winner of last weeks draw in Kiernan,Äôs worth ,Ǩ2600. Congratulations to the ,Ǩ30 winners: Vera Galvin, Tang; Ann Smyth, Goldsmith Road; Avril Egan, Parkside and Tommy Daly, Ballymahon. Last Mondays draw was held in Skelly,Äôs with the Jackpot worth ,Ǩ2700. Tickets are on sale from the usual outlets and cost ,Ǩ2. Special tickets costing ,Ǩ20 are available from any member of the executive and entitle the buyer to be automatically entered into the Draw with the same set of numbers for 12 consecutive weeks, with two weeks free. A reminder that the Christmas Craft Fair is being held in the Club grounds this Sunday, please support as it is for a good cause.
