Updates from the Clontarf, O'Dwyers and Erin go Bragh clubs. Clontarf Senior Footballers defeated Naomh Fionnbarra with an excellent performance from all players, especially Shane Mc Intyre's great return to top form. Minor Footballers play St. Pats Palmerstown in the Championship quater-final on Sunday, pitch 34, 11am, all support welcome. U12 Hurlers lost both matches against Na Fianna and Peregrines, yet all the lads battled bravely to the end. U11 Hurlers put in a great performance V Castleknock, with A team getting a hard earned draw and B team registering a fine win. A great weekend for our Ladies Juvenile section with several teams in finals. U16's defeated Cuala to win their Shield Final. U13's drew with Sylvesters in a fiercely contested Shield Final (3-6,3-6). U12's won their Shield Final with a great team display, while U11 Girls won the Div 2 Championship Final with a superb 6pt win over Castleknock. Race Night Fundraiser takes place on Sat Nov 22nd at 8pm, please support. Annual Art Exhibition opens on Fri Nov 28th. www.clontarfgaa.com O'Dwyers Results: Well done to the third team on their win against Starlights on Sunday. With a great season by these lads, it now looks like they're unstoppable in winning their League. Well done to the panel and management team. Hard luck to the U12 Girls Football team who were beaten by St. Brigids in the Final of their Championship, in a great match on Sunday. A display of great football skills was shown on the day and we know there's very big things yet to come for this team. Well done to Damien Prout and all the mentors and parents who help run this team. Juvenile: The Nursery skills camp is run from 11am to 12.30pm every Saturday morning and costs 2e per child. The camps are aimed at 5-8 years old and they learn about both Hurling and Football. Contact Aidan Smith or Mary Kenny for more details. Social: O'Dwyers Bingo every Wednesday Night at 8.55pm in the Club House. All welcome. Cultural Club Classes: New Members welcome for all classes. Upcoming dates for your diary: An afternoon of Juvenile Set Dancing will take place this Sunday 23rd November in the Club House from 3.30pm to 5pm. Everyone welcome. A special thank you to everyone who took the time to find old O'Dwyers pictures and newspaper clippings for the 90 Years Celebration. I think the trip down memory lane was enjoyed by all Saturday night. It is a mix of Gaelic Football / Basketball Rules with the focus on FUN & SAFETY. The event is fully insured. It's about fun and making new friends.
