BALLYMAHON The Club has now launched their Annual Race Night. This year it will take place in Cooney,Äôs Hotel on Friday 5th December next. Horses can be bought at a price of ,Ǩ60 ,Äì individual Owners, Trainers and Jockeys can be purchased at a cost of ,Ǩ20 each. Additionally, Races may be sponsored for ,Ǩ200 and full and half-price advertisements cost ,Ǩ100 and ,Ǩ50 respectively. Race cards are available from any member of the executive and your support would be appreciated for this popular annual fundraiser. The u-21s play St. Columbas/Colmcille/Sean Connollys this Saturday in the quarter-final of the Championship. The game is due to be played at 2.30pm with a venue to be decided. There was no winner of last weeks draw in Nally,Äôs worth ,Ǩ2500. Congratulations to the ,Ǩ30 winers: John Ryan, Cathal Nally, Francis Cox and Seamus O,ÄôCeallaigh. Last Mondays draw was held in Kiernan,Äôs with the Jackpot worth ,Ǩ2600. Tickets are on sale from the usual outlets and cost ,Ǩ2. Special tickets costing ,Ǩ20 are available from any member of the executive and entitle the buyer to be automatically entered into the Draw with the same set of numbers for 12 consecutive weeks, with two weeks free. As some kit and equipment has gone missing recently, the locks have been changed on the store-room, and anyone wishing to gain access to same is asked to contact Willie Forbes in advance. Our annual bowling night was held in Longford Megabowl last Friday night.
