Dromard GAA Club Notes

November 17, 2008
Niall Mellon Township Trust Fundraiser on Sunday next in Parc naGeal Dromard at 2:30pm. The 1999 Dromard Championship winning Team will take on the 2007 Championship team, with refreshments later in the club house, followed by a Music Session. Senior footballer Eugene McNaboe is heading off to South Africa to be part of  The Niall Mellon Township Trust which provides homes to the impoverished communities in the townships, all donations welcome on the day. On the football field, well done to the U21 team who overcame a good Slashers team in the U21 Championship quarter-final played in the excellent Killoe facilities. This was a good team performance, with every player working hard for each other. The semi finals should be in two weeks time. Enda Macken and his management team are doing an excellent job and would welcome your support over the next few weeks. Hard luck to our neighbours Colmcille who bowed out of the Linster Championship on Sunday last, after two good games against Eire Og. Senior Club AGM will take place soon. If interested in becoming involved in any way, please let any club member know. Well done to all the children and mentors who took part in the Junior Scor last weekend. Lotto: no results to hand. The Lotto is now at 16,500. You can get lotto's from any club member or local shops. You can buy a monthly lotto, 5 tickets for 10 euro. Please support.
