Kilbride Club Notes
November 10, 2008
Our Intermediate team assured the clubs Division Two league status for the 2009
season on Sunday morning with a comprehensive defeat of Kilmacanogue at the
foot of the great Sugar Loaf mountain. Paul Keogh scored a hat trick of goals
in the first half to offset quite a nervous start by the Kilbride defence, a
rare feat especially away from home from Paul. Paul got to keep the Kilmac
match ball!! Kilmacanogue staged a comeback in the second half but the lead
was always in Kilbride hands, an 8 point victory was achieved on a score line
of 2-7 to 4-9, Kilbride scorers, Paul Keogh 3-0, Mark Kelly 1-1, Neil Donohoe
0-1, Ciaran Jones 0-7. The final match of the season is the Brittas Tournament
Final on Saturday the 22nd of November in Brittas for 2.30PM, the opposition is
Blessington,s Osecond, team, who Kilbride have beaten twice in the 12 months,
will they make it three in a row or will Blessington win this one for Scal
after the heartache of that one point Junior A final defeat on 07. Who will
grab the local bragging rights for the next 12 months???!!
