Blues depleted for Crokes test

November 07, 2008
Newtown Blues will be without three key players when they face Kilmacud Crokes in the Leinster club championship at Parnell Park. The Louth champions must start without Colm Judge, Ian McManus and Jimmy Murray - all of whom missed out on the recent Cardinal O'Donnell Cup final defeat to Cooley Kickhams. Without this trio, the Blues will really have their work cut out when their provincial journey begins on Sunday November 9 at 2.30. A philosophical manager Eugene Judge noted: "I'm not saying we can't put it up to them, but I don't think you can afford to be missing three players like we are at this level."
