Louth's Judge ruled out of league
November 07, 2008
Louth attacker Colm Judge is set to miss the entire 2009 national football league programme with a shoulder injury.
The Newtown Blues forward hurt his shoulder training with Leinster for the interprovincial series and will also miss his club's Leinster club championship meeting with Kilmacud Crokes this weekend.
The key attacker will not only be a big loss to the Blues, however; he will be sorely missed by Wee County manager Eamonn McEneaney in the league.
The manager said: "He needs an operation on his shoulder and the recovery period for that kind of operation is four or five months. With that in mind, we will be lucky to have him for any of the national league campaign.
"We feel he needs this operation but it's just a matter of when he'll have it. Once he has it he'll be out for four or five months but, knowing Colm, he'll work extra hard to shave some of that time off."
