Refs to play for charity

October 10, 2008
Gaelic football referees in county Down are to come together to raise money for charities championed by former GAA ref Michael Cole who died in July this year. The refs will make up two teams representing East and South Down and the action will take place at St. Patrick's Park in Newcastle, County Down tomorrow (Saturday) at 5pm. Mr. Cole, SDLP councillor and former Newry and Mourne mayor, collapsed minutes into refereeing a division one league game between Ballyholland and Saval in July.
