Victorious Eastern Harps manager Denis Johnson admitted that the club used the pain of defeat in last year's final to inspire them to glory this time around. Harps ran out comfortable winners against Tubbercurry by eight points to win their first title in six years and Johnson revealed the secret of their success. "The memory of last year's agonising defeat was the driving force," said Johnson. "Tubbercurry's goal early in the second half was a great test for us. "We could have hit the panic button and let them take control but our lads have great character and they responded brilliantly. We stepped up a gear in the last 20 minutes and I was delighted with the level of our performance and the way we took our scores." Tweet
