Henry relieved to get second chance

October 09, 2008
Coolaney/Mullinabreena joint manager Eugene Henry acknowledges the fact that his charges were fortunate to come away with a draw the last day, but stressed they will be in better form for the replay. The amalgamation side never played to their full potential throughout the drawn game and Henry admits that he is relieved to come away with a second chance. "Our overall performance was disappointing so we were relieved to get a second chance," said Henry. "We were encouraged by the fact that we finished strongly and showed great character after the Gaels scored their goal early in the second half. "We might even have snatched a win in the end, but overall, we were happy to get a draw on the day and we know we'll have to show a lot of improvement for the replay."
