Members of the Kildare senior football panel are set to host a white collar boxing event in Newbridge in order to raise sufficient funds for their winter training programme. The event is aimed to be held at the end of next month at the Keadeen Hotel after the original date of November 15 had to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances, with a number of celebrities yet to be confirmed expected to be in attendance. Club Kildare Chairman Pat Mangan is helping the players co-ordinate the event. "There will be a number of celebrity fights and the players will go up against each other. To make it interesting we hope to create a bit of club rivalry like Sarsfields and Moorefield players going up against each other for example," said Mangan. "It's hard to think of something new but I think this will be good. We certainly intend to give it a good lash," he added. Tweet
