Tara 4-11 North London Shamrocks 1-3 A combined tally of 3-3 from Tara's full-forward line proved enough to comprehensively sink North London Shamrocks at Ruislip last Saturday and capture the London Intermediate Football Championship. After drawing on a score-line of 2-10 apiece a fortnight prior, Tara proved they were by far the better side in this replay and asserted themselves early on by taking a 1-2 to nothing lead after the opening ten minutes, with centre-forward Chris Donnellan landing the goal. A brace of frees from Donnellan was backed up by two more points from Cathal Murphy before the Shamrocks first score of the day came in reply from Declan Treanor fisting over the bar. In the second-half Treanor netted an early goal, but that was good as it got for the North London side for the rest of the game as Enda Gallagher and Daniel Coffey raising the game's final green flags to put the result beyond any doubt.
