SFC draws to a close
October 02, 2008
Barring a draw, the 2008 senior football championship will come to a conclusion this Sunday as Eastern Harps and Tubbercurry meet in an eagerly awaited decider.
Both sides have looked very impressive throughout this year's campaign and although Eastern Harps will enter the match as slight favourites, there will no be too much between the sides at the end.
Whoever wins on Sunday will have earned the title as both teams had to come through replays in their respective semi finals and this has whetted the appetites of all GAA fans in the county.
Tubbercurry last won the title 17 years ago and they will be hoping to put an end to that barren spell, while the Harps have had more success in recent years and were beaten in last year's final.
