WATTY GRAHAMS GAC GLEN NOTES The senior team traveled to Lavey on Friday night for the second time this season and as before came away with two points after a well fought win. Glen opened the scoring when Aodhan McGrath fired over with a point from the outside of the boot. Lavey soon equalized with a pointed free but Glen went into the lead again when Ryan Bradley slotted over a free. Glen then put together a series of passes with culminated with a well taken John McCamley goal. The same player then fired over a great point. Glen could have gone further ahead when Steven Convery was fouled in the small square. The resultant spot kick was well placed by Brian Kelly; however the Lavey keeper was up to the task and cleared the ball to safety. Lavey added a few points of their own to leave the half time score Glen 1-03 Lavey 0-05. Upon the restart Glen continued to dominate, however this wasn't translated into scores as Glen kicked a series of wides. However Glen settled and grabbed points from Brian Kelly, John McCamley and Declan McGarrity. Lavey replied with a pointed free but this was cancelled out when the free scoring McCamley fisted over his third point of the night. Lavey responded well and reduced the deficit to the minimum with minutes remaining. However Glen were awarded a free within the scoring range and Gary Burke making his welcome return after a long spell out through injury kicked over to leave the final score Glen 1-08 Lavey 0-09.
