Dempsey says minors have 'caught the imagination'
September 27, 2008
Mayo minor supremo Ray Dempsey says his county's All-Ireland MFC final tussle today (Saturday) has caught the imagination of gaels in his native county.
"The way things panned out, all you can do is look forward to the next day," said Dempsey. "That's the way our lads are approaching it. We were happy with how we played last Sunday, but I still think we could be getting more out of ourselves.
"It's caught the imagination up here. You had a Mayo team who went toe to toe with a traditional force like Tyrone in an All-Ireland final. There is a lot of intriguing aspects to this game."
