Coill Dubh not sure of semi place just yet

September 26, 2008
Both Coill Dubh and Ardclough face a play-off to determine who takes part in as semi-finalists in this year's Liffey Champion Senior Hurling Championship following the clash of the two sides in Sallins on Sunday evening last. This was a most competitive encounter with the greater forwarding of Ardclough contributing to the 1-14 to 0-12 win. The winners seemed to be able to take scores with much more ease and in fact every players from 6-15 inclusive with the exception of the Number 9 put their names on the scoreboard. While Ardclough held a 1-5 to 0-5 advantage at the break, Coill Dubh were quite dominant during that period but unfortunately for them, they were sadly lacking in attack. Coill Dubh will be closely watching the meeting of Eire Og/Corrachoill, who will need a winning margin of 34 points in order to deny the former kingpins of the sport.
