Roscommon's 2008 captain Seanie McDermott has heralded the appointment of Fergal O'Donnell as Rossies manager. O'Donnell led the county to All-Ireland minor glory two years ago and his elevation to the senior post has been greeted with approval throughout Roscommon. "His appointment has created a buzz around the county. He'll freshen things up and he'll bring plenty of positives to the table," enthused the Western Gaels clubman. "Fergal is a Roscommon man who knows the county inside-out. Every player will be giving him 100%. "I had great admiration for him as a player.
