Donaghmore win inaugural Ratoath Sevens title

Donaghmore/Ashbourne won the inaugural Ratoath All-Ireland Intermediate Football Sevens competition which took place at the weekend.
The Meath club defeated St. Farnan's of Sligo in the final, having beaten Cuchulainns of Cavan and Skerries Harps (Dublin) in the semi-final and quarter-final respectively. St. Farnan's overcame Fingal Ravens (Dublin) and Moortown of Tyrone en route to the decider.
The other clubs that took part were Celebrity Bainestoir winners Maryland (Westmeath) and Whitecross (Armagh).
Ratoath GAA would like to thank all the teams who took part as well as the referees who officiated. They would also like to thank GAA president Nickey Brennan, Director-General Paraic Duffy, Munster chairman Jimmy O'Gorman as well as Leinster chairman Seamus Howlin for attending.
The winning Donaghmore/Ashbourne team was: Kevin Lanigan (captain), Sean Curran, Iarlaith O'Donnell, Joe Finnegan, Bryan Menton, Andrew Tormey, Eoin Reilly, David Morgan, Stephen Cavanagh, John Broderick. Manager: Andy McEntee. Mentors: Mick McGill and Timmy O'Regan.
