Ballinabrackey got off to a great start against a very experimental Kilmainham side when they scored the first three points of the game. However Kilmainham came back into the game when Ger Morgan scored a goal. Kilmainham then went on to dominate the half and went into the half time break 1-3 to Ballinabrackey's 4 points. Danny Butler scored an early goal in the second half for Kilmainham and when Ger Morgan scored his second goal of the match the tie was effectively over.
