Boost for duo's Leinster bid?
September 19, 2008
The bid by Galway and Antrim to gain admission to the Leinster SHC looks likely to get a leg-up in the coming days when Kilkenny GAA chiefs are expected to give the counties their support on the matter.
The Cats will formally discuss the radical proposal by the Hurling Development Committee (HDC) on Monday night next when the county board meets.
"It would be inappropriate for me to pre-empt the vote on Monday night," said Kilkenny chairman Paul Kinsella.
"But in the past the county board has supported the move of Galway and Kilkenny to the Leinster Championship, and I don't envisage any change in that pattern."
